AMY
She was only 16, young, beautiful and blonde/She had a lot of friends and a loving family, her life was like a song/Her boyfriend Alex though, used to treat her like garbage/He would hit her and push her everytime a fight was started/One day Amy woke up and had a sharp pain in her stomach/She rushed to the bathroom and began to violently vomit/She grabbed her mother and said, "I need to go to the E.R."/The family got ready and hopped inside the car/They pulled up and rushed Amy to a room/The nurse told the family to wait and that the doc will be back soon/Hours pass by but still no sign of the doc/The family is nervously waiting with eyes up on the clock/Amy's hooked up to wires and machines with surgeons around her body/They're using every method they can to stop the blood from clotting/She has bruises and cuts from a violent altercation/For the staff it's personal, she's not just another patient/Suddenly the machine makes a long BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP and they pause/They did everything they could but Amy was gone/The doc walks in the E.R. to tell Amy's family the bad news/They are all hugging and crying while wipping tears away with tissues/"I am sorry to tell you about your beautiful daughter Amy/But she didn't make it.........and neither did the baby."

If I had Wings
I feel like i'm standing too close to the edge/If I take one more step it might be my death/But if I had wings, then I could fly/And soar into the highest skies/I could be M.V.P. of the superbowl/Or start my own company and be C.E.O./Whatever I dream, whatever I imagine/I could put into action and make it happen/Rise from the ashes and emerge a warrior/The mirror image of greatness never seen before/The exact replica of everything perfect/The ring leader inside this massive circus/The blueprint of amazing and everything surrounding/My pic in the dictionary with heading.........."ASTOUNDING"/If I had wings I could achieve the unachievable/And make you believe the unbelievable/I would make the untouchable be able to be touched/And open up eyes that would normally be shut/If I had wings I'd conquer the world and everything in it/And even the sky would not be the limit.

Writers Block
It's a nightmare, a terror, the worst possibility/I can't find the words and it's damn near killin me/My pen hits the pad but I can't spill the ink/It's a fight between my mind and my pen at the brink/I'm trying to think every thought that I can/But the thoughts that I think I just don't understand/Biologically my mind has a chemical imbalance/Because usually this comes with an effortless talent/I need medication like antidepressants/Before I go psycho and become schizophrenic/Morphine and Codeine might numb the pain/But the fact remains I have a blank page/Read between the lines, Oh Wait.....nevermind/Because nothing is written between any of mine/This rhyme has a curse and something demonic/Cause having writers block while writing writers block is kind of ironic.

Make a Change
Life is too precious to be killing our children/Our Boys and our Girls, our Men and our Women/We have to remember that these are our people/Murder and War are simply pure evil/Black and White and Yellow and Gray/Are just colors to me but what do you say?/Guns and Knives are the criminals tools/That shoot and slice and break all the rules/Violence is cancer and the cancer is spreading/What are we doing? Where are we heading?/A puzzle for our youth with missing pieces/Still no answers for our nephews and nieces/Leaders in power and people of stature/Is doing right important? or is it money we're after?/Our values and morals seem to be changing/It once was family but greed is replacing/I suggest you listen to weaping mothers/Who cry out stop we need each other/Their tears engrave a picture in my brain/The time is now lets make a change!
Words
I love twisting words and making them rhyme/Combining phrases in verses and lines/Syllables and vowels that tell a cool story/Painful and dark or happiness and glory/Letters and words and sentences in sync/Weaving a web and making you think/Beauty and passion and romance and love/Or death and sadness or all the above/My brain goes crazy with whimsical thought/It's magical and clever and cannot be taught/Some say WOW and OOOH and AHHH/Others just say it's BLAH BLAH BLAH/I say it's my intelligent maniacal quirk/My batteries, my gears, what's making me work/A flourish of showy wit and skill/The highest proficiency gives me the thrill/The tounge and lips and cheeks and teeth/Create an army of soldiers for me/The brain and heart are funnels of vision/That make these soldiers spit with precision.

Positivity 09 (The future is me)
I'm focused and ready and cannot be stopped/I'm hungry, I want this, I'll rise to the top/I'm fierce and fast and pushing the limits/My goal is nearby and I'm reaching to get it/I see the horizon and the top of the hill/It's destiny, it's fate, naw this is my will/I feel my heart pound and thump and beat/I won't slip or fall or except a defeat/Don't get in my way, you will not succeed/I live and breathe this vision I bleed/I'm brilliant and smart and carry the key/I've got this, It's mine, the future is me.

A Better Tomorrow (just a little poem I wrote)
Sometimes the stress is too much to take/I can't stand people when they act so fake/What is your deal? and why do you hate?/I try to look away and brush it right off/Like a physical exam, turn your head and cough/But sometimes you can't back down you have to stand up for what's right/Let these people know that you are ready to fight/Physical violence is not what I am talking about/But verbal affairs like to scream and to shout/I hate to degrate and stoop to their level/But I guess it's better than grabbing a shovel/Say it to my face if you have such a problem/I'll be willing to talk and try to resolve it/Life is too short to be involved with such drama and sorrow/So I'll turn my back and walk away towards a better tomorrow.

Dear Employers

I am the candidate that you have been looking for! I am months away from graduating from Minnesota State University Mankato with a degree in Public Relations. I strongly believe that MSU has provided me with the tools to become a successful Public Relations professional. Recently we have been learning about the importance of social media and the impact it has on our world today. I am also knowledgeable with programs such as Indesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and other computer programs. There are many products and services I can provide using these programs. I can make fliers, brochures, newsletters, web design and much more.
My drive and passion to be a successful professional is endless. I am excited to get started and put all of my valuable knowledge to use right away. I must mention that I also have a degree in Radio Broadcasting from Brown College in Mendota Heights Minnesota. Radio has always been a passion of mine and I know the communication skills I learned there were very important. I am about to start my internship at KEYC T.V. which is the local television station here in Mankato.
Please consider me an applicant for your open position within your company.
