Me Myself and I
Welcome to me, myself and I/A trio of personalities and lives/Me is just me the one you know best/A fun loving guy that most know as Stretch/Myself is myself who keeps to himself/A more undisclosed, secretive side if you will/And I is the guy that gets things done/You can call him Adam the more professional one/Adam is also all about family/A good loving husband and a wonderful daddy/But he who is me loves to unwind and relax with friends just have a good time/And that's not I cause I is the guy with his eyes on the prize/Reaching and striving for all of his goals/Pushing and searching with all of his soul/Let's not confuse I with myself/Who bottles his emotions in a jar on the shelf/And within those emotions are pain and fear/That even the nearest and dear never hear/But that's just me, or at least the side of me that people don't see/Cause Stretch is me like I said before/Who will keep you laughing and begging for more/And that is only one third of myself/I mean I......I mean me/Maybe someday you'll get to see all 3!
Fatherless
Teardrops from a time that he'd like to forget/Painful memories that swarm in his head/A fatherless child since the age of 2/Angry and confused from what he's been through/All of his friends had moms and dads/but his life was different a time more sad/His mother is his life and has been full of care/But his father was missing and never was there/Questions were raised as to how and why?/But with every answer he'd breakdown and cry/Not a phone call, a b-day card or even a letter/Yet mommy always promised things would get better/Through all of this he emerged a man/Who ever said he needed a dad?/He didn't, he's fine is what he realized/His father was gone and dead in his eyes/He himself is now a father/And couldn't carry a better honor/Since day one he made a promise, to always be loving and to keep things honest/To be in their lives and never leave/To live for them with each breath he breathed/He'd never wish the same pain on his kids/Cause he knows what it's like to be fatherless.

Stuck on Cloud 9
I am on cloud 9, on a whole new level/So high up in the sky you could say that I'm celestial/Swimming in a sea of stars shining brightly/Scenery more heavenly than that of Keira Knightley/I am jet fighter flyin, whizzin past blazing comets/Shattering all barriers and surpassing supersonic/It's this pure adrenaline that's pumping through my veins/And speeding to my brain with a higher octane/It feels like i'm roided up like a slugger that's been juicin/I'm gone in 60 seconds like a car that's just been boosted/Spinning out of control with a sense of euphoria/More desperate than a housewive like Eva Longoria/Scratching and clawing as I scream and shout/But like P.Diddy and the family there's no way out/I'm stuck on this cloud now and I'm trying to get down/But everything that surrounds is going faster than sound/Faster than the fastest thing you've ever seen/And I'm trying to cut this thing short like the life of James Dean/But everytime I try I just run outta luck/Seems like forever on this cloud I'll be stuck.
Summer 09
I thought I would switch things up a bit and talk about how much fun I have been having this summer! But I will have more poems coming too promise! This summer has been amazing! First off I have been interning with KEYC TV here in Mankato. I have been learning so much with everything from shooting video to editing to writing stories for the news. Recently Vikings Training Camp has been here in Mankato and that has been a blast! The first few days I went up there as a fan to watch practice and get autographs. I got a signed football with nearly every player on the team and another one with just Adrian Petersons. I stood outside for countless hours for 4 days just getting these. (Yeah I know I am a diehard!) Now I have had the oppurtunity to go up to training camp to cover the practice and stories with KEYC. This has been such a great experience for me because I have been able to interview players, shoot video of practice and edit video as well. I have had the chance to interview Rookie WR Percy Harvin, WR Sidney Rice, Bobby Wade, Ryan Longwell, Kevin Williams and more! I am very thankful for everything KEYC has taught me and everything oppurtunity they have provided for me.
Just the other night Chelsea and I went to go see Daughtry in concert at the Cabooze in Minneapolis. I bought the tickets for her as a birthday present and she was really happy! The Cabooze is a smaller venue and is just General Admission so we got there early to get a good spot. We arrived around 12:30 and the doors didn't even open until 6 p.m. We were one of the first people there but it was well worth the wait! Chelsea ended up getting VIP passes and got to meet the band during soundcheck. She also got an autograph poster and a hug from Chris Daughtry which she was really happy about. The concert overall was amazing! We were right up front as we watched them Rock the hell out of the Cabooze! After the concert we waited outside of the tour bus for autographs. We got our Daughtry album signed by everyone and even got a few pics with some of the guys. Chelsea got a picture with Chris which once again she was extatic about!
Let's see what else? We had a fun 4th of July with family and friends up in Forest Lake! We have had a few great nights out with friends down in Mankato as well. Last friday especially...Thanks to everyone who came out! Oh Chelsea and I learned how to play disc golf this summer and that has been a fun hobby of ours too. We went to Valley Fair this summer and had a good time as always. Thanks mom for watching Olivia.
Olivia of course has been getting bigger everyday and she is so impressive with how much she has been learning. I am amazed each day with how smart my baby girl is. She is 20 months old now and can repeat numbers 1-10 and will repeat most of the ABC's. She also can sing twinkle twinkle little star by herself! She has a Pooh matching book which she can find every item on every page and match them! We love her so much and have just been having a blast together as a happy family:)
In Sept we will be going to the state fair and seeing REO Speedwagon and Styx in concert. (part of my moms bday present.)
Well that is pretty much it. We have done a ton more this summer like Camping, Golfing, Grilling and being around with good friends and family. Until next time......
