Non-Sense

This is a kinda non-sense, outcha mind type of rhyme/Outta context, not your cortex, cerebral or the spine/In a vortex, sippin on a vodka and a lime/Yeah a new concept with a new conflict, runnin like a convict, moshin in a mosh pit/It's kinda hard to diverge between so many words, when the 1st plus the 2nd doesn't equal the 3rd/But that's the whole point man gotta keep em guessin, keep em scratchin their heads like what was the lesson?/Please stop stressin, now it's all irrelevant, just another testament you're forgetful like an elephant/In all fairness though I probably should say that 99% of my words confuse even me/And honestly it makes no sense, cause one second it's that and another it's this/So I digress and stick to what's best, putting words in constant contact with one's that match the rest/If you have to dig deep to try and find the true meaning, then maybe you should re-think exactly what you're reading/At this point now my whole brain is depleting, I'm going CRAZY and seeing things I shouldn't be seeing/Trivia questions but without all the answers, Dancing with the stars but without all the dancers/Baby 1 and baby 2 with the pampers and I'm seeing baby blue like the Carolina Panthers/5:26 and the kid is still at it cause my mind is so sick that I cannot break the habit/Possibly the most pointless piece ever put together/HAHA Yeah right more like the most clever!

This Ink

How am I even able to keep writing something that's good?/Well I've got an I.V. hooked up pumpin ink into my blood/That's how passionate I get when a thought enters in/This ink keeps me goin when flowin beneath the skin/It's a necessity to survive without it I couldn't be/Like oxygen within your lungs without it you couldn't breathe/As it travels through my veins to different parts of my body/I pick up my utensil and start my thought jotting/First I see the words that are scrambled in my brain/Then I line em all up like the cars that make a train/I then take the line and form a nice smooth sentence/And make the next line rhyme with the first for the finish/Once you repeat this about 20 more times/You get a bunch of different phrases made out of all the lines/The phrases put together paint an image for those engaged/And those images with feeling combine to fill the page.

The Addict

The path of an addict can be real weary/Spinning out of control because he's not steering/A much greater force that he cannot overcome/Has trapped him in hell and has made him numb/Searching for the light but this drug has got him blinded/And the scars along his arms are just the pain that is reminded/His whole entire focus was to simply get high/But his life just seemed so hopeless as it passed him right by/It was the alcohol, the meth and the coke and the weed/The pills, and the shrooms, the heroin and speed/He could feel his chest get heavy and his breath would be much shorter/With the chills and the sweats all curled up in the corner/For every single time that this event had occurred/No one ever lent a hand, no one ever said a word/It was a cry out for help and something that he wanted/Freedom from these demons that had his mind so gone and haunted/Some guidance and some vision to pull out through the darkness/But this high would be his last and also be his darkest.

Go Get It

This is more than motivation, and more than desire/More than the heart of a lion on fire/With passion and the presence of mind to go get it/And living every moment of life with no limits/You can never hold back, if you do you'll regret it/To accept anything less than perfection's pathetic/So push it much further than you thought that you could/And stand for everything you said that you would/They say talk is cheap, naw that ain't true/It's priceless if you do what you said you would do/Your words are important but your actions are louder/So act on those words with all of your power/As long as that train keeps movin it's great/But don't ever slow down or hesitate/The mind of a champ, the strength of a fighter/To see through the fog, the smoke, the fire/The level of greatness you can achieve/If you pursue your dreams that you believe.

Never Look Back

This is how it started and you won't believe it/Like a crook in the night the boy was thief'n/He was broke and hungry and had no other choice/Like trying to be heard but without a voice/So he hustled and grinded until he got what he needed/But kept it low key so he couldn't be defeated/Looking for food and whatever else he could get/Cause all of his life he never had shit/People always told him that he wouldn't become anything/Not a man, not a dad, no husband, no wedding ring/But all that talk just added fuel to the flame/Cause this kid had heart and was about to change the game/So he started to rearrange and turn the page/He could see himself in lights and on a bigger stage/Things became more clear and the sun started to shine/He too like the sun grew bright but within his mind/The checks started comin and so did his success/Bye Bye went all the pain, the anger and the stress/He had arrived and had finally made it/And never looked back to all those who hated.

ALL ALONE

This emptiness inside is painful and unforgiving/All alone in this darkness now I am sitting/I speak, but there is no one there to even listen/By the beast of this silence I have been bitten/The only sound that I hear is my own voice within my head/It's echoing and shouting that I'd be better off dead/I'm fearful and doubtful that you might never come back/As this train that I call life is derailing off the track/Anger and frustration are starting to get old/And this extreme complication has got a tighter hold/I would hate for this to end and be left out in the cold/But the truth and reality are starting to unfold/Wrapped around my throat is this grip that I had mentioned/It's suffocating me with an unrelenting tension/I look within myself to try and overcome it all/But the task is much too tough as I slip and I fall/The only thing that's left is for you to come back home/And to break this daunting pain of being all alone.

Me Myself and I

Welcome to me, myself and I/A trio of personalities and lives/Me is just me the one you know best/A fun loving guy that most know as Stretch/Myself is myself who keeps to himself/A more undisclosed, secretive side if you will/And I is the guy that gets things done/You can call him Adam the more professional one/Adam is also all about family/A good loving husband and a wonderful daddy/But he who is me loves to unwind and relax with friends just have a good time/And that's not I cause I is the guy with his eyes on the prize/Reaching and striving for all of his goals/Pushing and searching with all of his soul/Let's not confuse I with myself/Who bottles his emotions in a jar on the shelf/And within those emotions are pain and fear/That even the nearest and dear never hear/But that's just me, or at least the side of me that people don't see/Cause Stretch is me like I said before/Who will keep you laughing and begging for more/And that is only one third of myself/I mean I......I mean me/Maybe someday you'll get to see all 3!
