A Better Tomorrow (just a little poem I wrote)

Sometimes the stress is too much to take/I can't stand people when they act so fake/What is your deal? and why do you hate?/I try to look away and brush it right off/Like a physical exam, turn your head and cough/But sometimes you can't back down you have to stand up for what's right/Let these people know that you are ready to fight/Physical violence is not what I am talking about/But verbal affairs like to scream and to shout/I hate to degrate and stoop to their level/But I guess it's better than grabbing a shovel/Say it to my face if you have such a problem/I'll be willing to talk and try to resolve it/Life is too short to be involved with such drama and sorrow/So I'll turn my back and walk away towards a better tomorrow.

  1. I didn't know you were a poet, Adam! Definitely a different side of you. I am not a poetry expert, but I like this!

  2. This poem sure describes recent events in our friend circle. It would be nice if some of them would read it and maybe learn something from it. I believe that there comes a point in life where the kiddy high-school drama and gossip needs to stop. We are all 24, 25, 26 years old now and yet it's still happening? Maybe we've just grown up a little sooner than the rest of the clan. Nice poem though Adam!
