Broken and Lifted
She has a heart that's been broken before and ripped right out and thrown on the floor/She's cried tears of pain and sorrow and prayed for relief and a better tomorrow/She's been pushed, hit and called a bitch/Open palms and even closed fists/Scars and bruises have all remained and of course the everlasting pain/Defeated and punished with walls built up, a savior has come with nothing but love/He hugs her, kisses her, calls her beautiful/Cares for her, loves her and the feelings mutual/For the first time she cracks a smile, something unseen in quite awhile/The walls come down that were once built up and along with that has come her trust/He wraps her up and vows to protect her. In sickness and in health as one forever/The pain has been lifted and she's no longer broken, her angel has saved her from all that was hopeless.
